We are proud to say that Caroline Inchyra has been working hard on behalf of the wedding industry and couples as we all navigate our way through the Covid restrictions. In August 2020 Caroline was appointed Scottish Representative of the Association of British Wedding Businesses and worked with the Scottish Government to develop guidance for Covid Secure weddings. Caroline then went on in October to become co-founder of the Scottish Wedding Industry Alliance with Duncan McConchie of GGs Yard in Dumfriesshire. The SWIA is now the acknowledged representative body for weddings in Scotland and has been working hard to bring the difficulties facing the industry to the fore. A major win was the awarding of the only sector specific funding for weddings in the UK when a £25 million grant fund was allocated in December 2020 and opened for applications in January. The SWIA is now working with the Scottish Government on the development of a routemap for reopening. Caroline also now represents Scotland on the UK Weddings Taskforce.
Mr & Mrs Macdonald - May 2018
We were absolutely thrilled when we found this blog by Love My Dress! It shows one of our couples, Aillie and Duncan's wedding on 12 May 2018 here at The Byre at Inchyra. A relaxed and natural style with a modern and crisp finish.

A beautiful day spent out in the Walled Garden surrounded by your loved ones. Stephanie and Kyles day was perfection filled with lots of greens, neon signs and classic cars.

One of the first couples to 'get' Inchyra and booking their wedding with us were Michele and Ross Lamb. After marrying here in 2014 (their wedding is featured on this website) and producing gorgeous little Isaac last year, Michele decided to launch a new career as a wedding and events photographer. She's very talented and, under the name of Lamb Loves, is already booked to shoot weddings in the Byre and other venues this year. The other day Michele visited Inchyra for a wedding inspiration shoot - modelled by none other than our daughter Silvie, trying her hand at it for the first time. We're biased obviously, but we think she did a pretty good job! And there's absolutely no doubt that Lamb Loves has got what it takes!
