Here we go into another action-packed year at the Byre!  We're closed for January and February as we get the Byre and Estate at Inchyra ready for the year.  Building work is about to start on the new Bridle Room in the Stable Yard and for the next two months we'll be busy cleaning and mending and tidying and updating ready to hit the ground running when the first weddings start at the beginning of March. 

We are over the moon to be able to announce that the Byre has today won the category of UK & Ireland Wedding Venue of the Year in the DWHA Awards run by Destination Weddings & Holidays Abroad Magazine, the UK's largest bridal magazine for destination weddings, travel and inspiration. We couldn't be happier at this news and it's a fabulous pat on the back for our amazing team.  We adore destination weddings - we welcome couples, their families and friends, from right around the globe each year - and there's always something very special about these weddings, where everyone's on a major road trip!

Here's to all the brides, grooms and guests that will be flying into Scotland this year to come and celebrate and party in our beautiful barn!  And here's to all the amazing people who work here to make the magic happen!

The team at the Byre are over the moon that we have been chosen by Destination Weddings & Honeymoons Abroad magazine as 'one of the greatest wedding barns from both sides of the Atlantic'.  It's a rarified group, including the amazing Enchanted Barn in Wisconsin - which we used to look at in awe when we were dreaming of becoming a wedding venue!

We're chuffed to bits that the wonderful Inchyra Blue which was developed by Farrow & Ball for Inchyra and the Byre has been voted the most popular new 2016 colour!  Check out this article in Luxury London.

One of the first couples to 'get' Inchyra and booking their wedding with us were Michele and Ross Lamb.  After marrying here in 2014 (their wedding is featured on this website) and producing gorgeous little Isaac last year, Michele decided to launch a new career as a wedding and events photographer.  She's very talented and, under the name of Lamb Loves, is already booked to shoot weddings in the Byre and other venues this year.  The other day Michele visited Inchyra for a wedding inspiration shoot - modelled by none other than our daughter Silvie, trying her hand at it for the first time.  We're biased obviously, but we think she did a pretty good job!  And there's absolutely no doubt that Lamb Loves has got what it takes!
